Okay I have officially given up on this game now. I was just playing a match and the stupid wicket keeper just refuses to catch a simply caught behind. Haven't played Cricket 19 much so need suggestions. Is it stable and worth playing?

Thank you for your response. I know the player models look like dwarves in Cricket 19. But gameplay is what matters when it comes to a sports game. i just uninstalled Cricket 22 when the wicket keeper refused to catch the ball for the 100th time.

If you are okay with the lower resolution textures and slightly weird player body models, then Cricket 19 is fun. Most of the animations, etc are the same as C22 (On launch, basically 100% of the animations were the same)

My only gripe being, you will be still paying them some extra dosh..

Quick suggestion: If you are subscribed to Xbox game pass, Cricket 19 is available on it!

thank you for the response. i play on 4K resolution and i already had C19 in my library so not paying them another dime. Is c19 better than c22 gamepaly wise? (your thoughts considering the bugs in both games) which is better?

I can't say its objectively better as both games feel quite identical to me, barring the player models and newly introduced bugs in C22..

I've played way too much Cricket 19, so I subconsciously have clubbed its shortcomings as gameplay features, such as frequent overthrows, abrupt field changes after each ball, extremely repetitive animations, etc. There's optimisation issues too, with fps varying tremendously between different stadiums (although never dropped below 60, so I didn't mind. C22 drops into 30s for me in night games on a RTX2070). However, all of the elements in the game contain no junk (unlike the career mode in C22), so the game feels more "refined" and "complete" despite its shortcomings. Online multiplayer experience is equally terrible in both the games (local MP works fine)

TL;DR:
Is C19 a better experience? Yes!
Despite my disappointment with C22, would I personally switch to C19 again (I have 150 hours on it)? Not really..
Considering you already have the game, no harm in checking it out though!

EDIT: Would I switch to C19 if the devs offer me refund on C22? Ofcourse YES!

Player models - even if you pick the most buff preset than add as much "mass" as possible are still skinny little noodle armed, pigeon chested weeds in this one. They've gone from one extreme to the other. Why not offer both? Big and small, tall and short, buff and thin.
Why does the game switch from one to the other... what about having both?

19 is a much better cricket game

How does Ashes Cricket compare?
I don't fancy 22 because of all these issues so I thought to go 19 but is Ashes worth considering?
