Really enjoying the game and now can't continue on as a door won't open by hitting the opening wheel with the frying pan. I thought I just wasn't getting a puzzle and even went so far as to look at a video walk-through of the area and in the video the door opens with that wheel. There are no other options. Can anyone help?

Also - tried restarting game, restarting level etc still stuck

You can find your save by going to %appdata%/Pixpil/Eastward/[STEAMID]/SaveData

Try hitting it a couple times in a row. It worked for me, i was hitting just once previously.
