Attempting to boot Eastward through Steam results in nothing but a black window. The only solution I can find is to start it through the .exe in the local files. It's not a huge deal, just a bit annoying, but if anyone knows a fix for this it would be appreciated.

I've had to do that with 3 other games out of the nearly 800 I have. It's frustrating honestly but no big deal if you're used to playing offline. Have you tried uninstalling, downloading it again and then reinstalling it?

Before doing that I suggest you try seeing if the files are all there or if there is a technical issue. Go to Settings and then choose "Verify Integrity of Game Files". If it still doesn't work after that then try uninstalling, downloading it again and then reinstalling it to see if it works for you then.

I tried all that before making the post, but thanks for trying to help anyway. Still no clue what's wrong but I'll update the thread if I figure it out.
