My save file is corrupt and I lost over 5 years of progress, can anyone help me fix it?

I followed all the instructions on this guide and none of it worked

Can anyone help me restore it? I still have the old save file, so if we can fix the corruption, it should work.

Not sure exactly what you're saying here - are you saying that your old save file is corrupt? If so, I'm not aware of any way to remove the 'corruption' from that file.

Or are you saying your old save file is fine and you're trying to get it to overwrite the new local save?

Then you're out of luck and will have to start over.

I don't want to start over from scratch, that would be very draining and wouldn't feel worth my time

Corrupted how ? Did you install custom weapons or custom content that is present in the save file ?
