Is VR support planned?

Not known. While Croteam devs did enjoy making VR versions of other games, it wasn't a success from economical point, so they are kinda careful with commiting resources to it. Also, SS4 was deep in development before VR things and it could be not easy to adapt now.

no vr project is an economical success, developing vr today is more a bet for tomorrow, if vr grows, there will be teams more ready and others that will chase each other

I think there will not be a VR version at launch, but they *might* decide to make it later.

I'm willing to say no and unlikely, unless something magical happens and the VR market starts skyrocketing.

Since we're on the topic: if you have a VR headset and haven't tried any Serious Sam games in it, you haven't truly tried VR gaming.

No wonder, since not a lot of people own a VR! Since I now own one, I just started to play the first encounter, the second after that and than the third! Love it to play these games in VR! Hope, this one will have VR support too!

Yep, that's why we have companies that have made several vr games and are making more vr games... oh wait.

I really hope it supports VR.. I don't think the initial sales of the SS VR packs were great but I think in the end they did really well.. I know I bought multiple copies of it for me and my brother and I really enjoy the games. I got mine at a reasonably low price, but paid full price for the one I got my brother.

It should. The Last Hope was bought and is still being bought by a lot of ppl. It even was in Steam 2019 VR games of the year which is voted by Steam users..

No VR - no Buy :)

Then you won't buy it for a few years because VR won't come out with regular version.

I don't think a game like Serious Sam would work for VR. It's a fast-paced shooter that requires strategic positioning and constant movement. It would make a whole lot of people sick if played in VR.

There is a reason why Half Life: Alyx looks like a shooting gallery.

it DOES work for VR, why else would there be VR versions of SSHD and SS3? they play just fine with continuous locomotion at max speed, and motion sickness is definitely surmountable by most people given time. dodging kleers and immediately killing them with a backward double shotgun blast over the shoulder is immensely satisfying

SS3 VR is one of my favorite VR games, no problem at all with movement
