I played around 360h on steam, and ~200h on quest 2, uploaded 4 public avatars, and I'm still on "User" rank. Any idea when I gonna rank up ?

same thing with me, idk why it happens

i have 187h on steam and 200 on quest i uploaded 4 private avatars and got known user this ♥♥♥♥ weird lol

I'm guessing it has something to do with how many "friends" you have in your VRChat list... I have also many hours in but never get to "known user"... I'm assuming that's the reason.

same want to upload avatar i have and cant cause need to play so long or what ever. and if it goes by number of friends on list then yea im the type that only has like 3 to 5 friends im no socialite that has 4000 friends. yada yada xd

ive been at new user for like 70 hours now even tho i end up friending half the people in a lobby when I like talking to them, I think the rank system is messed up cus I don't even go to private lobbies but my rank doesnt want to go up at all

even worse cus i went from visitor to new user in no time at all and i just feel stuck here

You can only rank up once with this method, but its instant. Also with VRChat plus you rank up quicker. I went from known to trusted in about 2 weeks.

So, I'm probably gonna buy vrc+ once I rank up to known. Until this time I will try to upload more avatars and worlds

VRC+ will only guarantee a rank up from Visitor to New User. This is just so that the user can start uploading content if they were not previously able to. Past that the small trust boost that VRC+ gives you will usually not rank you up at higher ranks. It can, but it's very dependant on how close you are to the next rank to begin with.

I got known 1h ago. Just uploaded 4-5 more avatars and 1 world.
