I literally went online after a long time and because my avatar is from readyplayerme which is a free easy way to make a quick avatar some weird girls told me "what is this ugly looking sims-like avatar" or "you suck" or "dude get the f out of here with your cartoon".

Kinda funny when they all wearing 3d anime avatar with cringy and stupid looking assets.
Listen I'm 26, I'm still young but maybe too old for this kinda 💩 I don't care and still use any freaking avatar I want, If I find it funny or entertaining.

I'll not enjoy my time by looking at my avatar in the mirror.

There's a lot of things that I don't understand with this community quite frankly, I've met some good guys tho funny af and even some trolling and memers, I perfer them than those "bad" e/boys-girls, they really think theey are superior to you with their fancy avatar It's so cringe, creepy sometimes too.

VRchat seem like a dating vr app more than anything, it's extremely toxic and cancerous, It's really difficult for me to tell anyone to try it out, it's a weird place.

From what I can tell you just met some weird peeps but judging from how you wrote, you probably asked for this.

Yeah, you'll see a lot of those people. They could be ragging on you because the bar for avatars is fairly high in quality, even for Quest users. So, it isn't surprising they are using their (potentially) higher fidelity avatars to crap on yours. Block / mute them, use a different avatar, or find another world, fairly simple. For every fun person, there's 100 terrible / boring / toxic ones, you just gotta find the right people in the right place at the right time. But if YOU seem like an open or funny person, most will come and be friendly to you, so make sure you're not the problem

If you hop around in enough worlds, or just socialize with everyone you can, you should find the right people you're looking for!

you have to detach yourself from this type of players. Vr chat isnt all like that.

these are random people that you can easily avoid, find your own place, and people you d like to be with.

vr chat is a dimension within dimensions, the community is pretty divided due to this. the bigger or louder ones arent the strongest ones either, just get online to have fun man.

TBH, there is a good chance that those girls didn't even made theirs own avatar (they are more likely using a public avatar); at least you made your own avatar the way you wanted. Also, 26 is still young (i'm about to be 34 in a lil more than a month) and even if I don't particuliarly like the look of those readyplayerme, i'm not gonna start getting angry at someone who use one lol.

At the end of the day, if you get ppl reacting the way those girls did toward you, just block them. You don't want to spend time with ppl like them anyway.
