Just arrived at Bitter Rock for the protector journey quest and the entire map is empty. No enemies nothing. Went underground and there was also nothing.

Been looking at other playthroughs on youtube and there are supposedly corpses and items everywhere.

Nope, ghost town.

What am I doing wrong and how can I progress the quest?

Quest objective just says: Travel to Bitter Rock and search for the Olvidad Bracelet there

I was just there. Definitely there were ravenous enemies and fights. I suppose you already tried quitting and loading back into the area?
If that didn't work, does it help if you load a slightly earlier save (backtrack a bit) and progress the journey towards that point again?

Did you ever find a fix for this? It's happening to me right now.

I tried reloading and it didn't work sadly.
