Edit: Eh in the end I have a positive win rate, it's still annoying to fight against spammers because the match ends up being boring.

I dare you to pick vraxx right now, get into a game and keep charging that ssig over and over again until your heavy attack button falls off. You'll get bodied the moment a somewhat competent player gets to play against you and stops continuously approaching you like a moron. Pay attention to what moves you're often getting punished with. Adapt and act accordingly. No one cares what playstyle you personally find entertaining, as long as something works people will abuse it and reporting anyone won't fix ♥♥♥♥ since spamming isn't a bannable offense. If spamming wasn't a viable strategy it wouldn't be so widespread in the first place. It is in your best interest to seek ways to counter it, it isn't hard for the most part.

that is actually true it's not fun to play against since as u said the match becomes extremely repetitive and a snoozefest in general but u cant make a post like this its cringe, people should play how they want

I actually do agree with you on this one. I will finish the match with spammers but it's not fun or enjoyable. Countering gets easier if you know the character you're fighting really well, but if the match up is bad and they're a lot faster than your character it's really hard sometimes.

Feel like 80% of the playerbase have adopted the same play style lately. Comes to something when I have more enjoyable games in experimental than I do in ranked games. Ranked is just a ♥♥♥♥ pool of degenerates from spammers to smurfs.

Speed is too effective as a strat, there isn't really any useful way to punish speed unless you get lucky.

turn around as fast as you can or try to get behind them as quickly as possible and do light attacks to break their combos, heavy attack whenever you get a chance. Otherwise I don't got much to fight it.
