I leave for a month long vacation, i come back, and the game is messed up. Working fine in november, early december, come back january, game menu is messed up. Menu buttons are not visible but can be activated by moving mouse a few inches to the right and lower.... Not a hardware issue as i have a gaming rig. Only difference i see is a game update...i have 5274 hours on the game...and NOW it suddenly doesnt work...cmon.

Have you verified the game files via the Steam client?

If that doesn't work, next step is to rename your Sid Meier's Civilization VI folder inside My Documents\My Games to something else.
Then launch the game again and see if it works. If so, you can move your old save files back from the renamed folder to the newly created one.
