New Fielder animation and Saving Pitch and Ground effects

After this new update, I can see that the Fielders at times try to realistically dive to collect the ball instead of the previous versions where they slid a long way.

Unfortunately for me, every time the fielder attempts this, the fielder always dives over the ball and the ball sneaks past him. Happened about 10-12 times for me with Zero success rate of the fielder stopping the ball. Is this something in process and will get better over time ?

Also, if we save and exit mid-game and then proceed again after a break, the pitch and ground deterioration is not saved. If I'm not wrong, the ball deterioration is also not saved. Someone can correct me here? It's almost like starting again from the top. Can this data be also saved when we save the game ? - All this stated in existing stadiums and no customisation.

Comparing with the earlier versions, the batting is very good after the new patch. Do give a second look into the location of helmets in the drinks break cut scene. The new ball leave animation is great and adds a much needed significant change to the game.

agree with you mate, we are doing a paid Pre Alpha here. I think they will relaunch this game after a year of patching with the new name :P

I'm telling you, it will be the same story during the next Ashes too, they'll repackage Cricket 22 in whatever state it is in, as a new game with false marketing campaign. They're just taking us small community for a ride. I hope some reputable studio attempts to make a cricket game :CatWish:

The concept of the diving fielders, is that these situations would show up most likely when a fielder wouldn't be getting to the ball anyway. It's to add a bit more flair and not just have a fielder constantly turn around and run to the ball.

There are also chances that dependent on the dive used, that the player will stop the ball because of this.

But I saw a case where, the fielder diving in wrong direction rather than towards the ball. I didn't capture though.
