I've just unlocked the last recipe for five star chef and despite filling out the whole recipe menu, the in game counter still says 29/35. On top of that I swear I have gotten all chests up to this point in the game since I have been using a spoiler free guide (back before chapter select was added for backtracking) and its saying I'm on 79 when It should be 87. Anyone else having similar trouble?

EDIT: Just got my last ingredient as well, and did not get the achievement for all ingredients collected either

Hey man, did you ever figure this out? I'm running into the same problem with my ingredient counter stuck at 31/32 even though I clearly have all ingredients in my inventory. I think a few more might be bugged too (food and chest counters).

Question - were you by any chance moving save games around to different PCs or from PC to Switch (and back)? Because I was, and I suspected it might have something to do with the fact that I might have forgotten to swap the Achievement save file over with the game saves at some point.

But... this doesn't seem to be the case. I tested the theory out by deleting the Achievement file from my save game folder, and the game just generated a new, but identical, Achievement file with the same problems as soon as I loaded my save file.

I didn't get any achievements until I got to Quake Valley. None of mine are updating, period.

Luckily, I don't care about achievements at all, but I didn't even know the game had them until then.

Sorry to hear you're having similar troubles. I think mine started after a played while i had an internet outage a month or two ago, so the counters weren't going up since I wasn't connected to steam. You're the first to report of having similar issues.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah hm... that makes some sense.

I was moving my save file from PC to Switch and back, and I think the first time that I did this, I didn't know to move the Achievement save file. What I suspect happened is that even though I made progress on the Achievements, the progress wasn't counted when I picked up the game on my Switch (I had played a few hours on PC initially), because I didn't transfer the Achievements save file. So what ended up happening is that, even though the game had counted open chests and ingredients purchased (and these would remained flagged a such), the achievement counter behaved as though it was starting fresh.

What this would mean is that I'm permanently locked out of Achievements, because chests can't be 're-opened' and ingredients can't be 're-purchased', preventing the counter from progressing.

I'm wondering if the fact that you were playing offline had a similar effect on the Achievement file...

Thanks for letting us know - we're looking into it :) Other users have reported that despite the counter not going up, they were still able to unlock achievements so don't lose heart!

Thanks for the response! If it helps I only noticed the counters being behind after playing offline while my state had a massive internet outage due to a storm. I didn’t think much of it at the time but I’m starting to think that might be what caused it.
