P.S. News about EAC in this game was a long time ago.

From everything that has been said before, eac games still have tons of cheaters. Some people claim that cheaters have to pay for it, but, those eac games are still filled with them. In my case, I don't even play online, I just don't want epic crap forcing always online drm/spyware on my pc. Still gonna wait to see if it can be bypassed easily, as some people claim it can be. If not, I'll refund for sure.

I'd agree if it wasn't also forced on offline players that have no use for that ♥♥♥♥. As is, I'd rather it didn't exist at all.

but you know what? those that will play will still play and those that wont, wont. they aren't going to scramble for everyones money when its all for the good of the majority.

As losng as atleast 30% of them will do a refund - im happy.
Ofc not all of them will be stopped, EAC pretty mediocre ac.
But EAC is fine and enough to stop kids from using soft.

There's no perfect anticheat, but I can tell you this much, ANYTHING is better than DS3's anticheat.

Anything is better than a simple check to see if the player has infinite stats or invalid levels.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but to cheaters; Easy AntiCheat is more known as 'Easy ToCheat'. It's not the best anti-cheat out there.
Moreso when From does not take the time to alter their games; IE: Dark Souls Remaster; where the same cheats from the OG worked in the remaster.

Don't get me wrong; anyone who cheats in an online game is pure scum. They are a literal disease; they kill games for their own short-term benefit, then move on to infect another game.
But Easy AntiCheat is...well, easy to crack. Always has been.

EAC is pretty much the minimalist anti cheat and it does nothing in the long run.

the problem is without risk it makes it exponentially worse. so adding a risk factor will prevent many from pursuing cheats or make it impossible (no bank account etc).

The good thing is that typically from software series they ban the cheaters from online at least.

I see Dragonball Fighter has the same threat in its eula, but there is a way to make a shortcut with a no eac launcher command that works just fine. I guess all I can do is hope that will also be possible for ER.
