I'm moderately optimistic, I hope it'll run fine on medium-high settings (though no ray tracing for me, I'm afraid)

if the system requirements aim at 1080/60 then the guys with 1050tis, gtx970 will for sure get a 1080p/30+ fps experience, dont worry, just dont fret too much about getting 60 fps.

I'm slightly above the recommended requirements, so I hope I can achieve 1080p at 60fps without too many frame drops.

Why not, I'm a little concerned about my video card. Total stats:

CPU: i7-7700 K
RAM: 32 GB
GPU: RX 480 8 GB

Plan on installing it on my SSD drive and hope that helps performance as well.
Hoping for 60 fps with settings that make it look better than minecraft. I'm not too picky.

8 gb is the recommended gpu so you should be just fine

if I can get 60 fps at 1080p I'd been happy

Your setup is what I believe is more in line with what the real minimum will be. I believe in 1080p30 Medium AA-off with this.
