Firstly. We all know the co op mod was made by and for people who haven’t played a Soulsborne game before. The already neutrd invasions were still too much for their tourist hearts.

Second. The mod goes against what the game is intended to be played as. When you summon help, you make up for that with extra boss health and being open to invasions. This still doesn’t make it anywhere near as hard as doing it solo. But the mod makes it even easier and cheats to avoid game mechanics.

Third. It has a negative impact on the playerbase as legitimate players without the mod cannot find invasions or co op at all.

I believe and hope this kind of thing will be disallowed soon. For the good of the game and community.

Coop mode isn't gonna be bannable because it doesn't cross with official multiplayer. That's the whole point. It doesn't use FromSoft servers and that's also why people use mods with it. Since they are already cut off from official servers to begin with.

Besides, it's very easy to remove invasions even if you play normally, as long as you're cooping with a friend.

Bro who gives a ♥♥♥♥, i don't think anyone plays co op for the difficulty. do i think it should apply the multiplayer scaling? absolutely but i don't use the mod so i don't care.

If you are actively against the coop mod you should probably just talk about mods in general since all of them "go against what the game is intended to be played as".

If there was a clear way the game was intended to be played as Fromsoft would have done something about it. They didn't. They are fine with mods and the community to do whatever the hell they wanna do.

This isn't Dark Souls, people keep forgetting that, so invasion are not nearly as big of a part here.

Also the biggest aspect of the coop mod and probably the main reason why it exists is because coop in fromsoft games sucks ass. The mod makes the entire game playable in coop from beginning to end without having to reconnect over and over again or having to beat everything twice. That's a huge deal for people who wanna play this game with their friends.

Bro ignored the last part of the comment, this mod isn't what is breaking up the playerbase, the players are distancing themselves on purpose and would still do so even if the mod didn't exist. Should we ban offline players too since it makes it harder to invade?

This is gonna sound harsh, but play on consoles if you're worried about mods.
