I never invade people, but decided to today. I've done 6 so far, dying every time because I keep getting pit against duos or trios. Really killed my drive to bother with this feature if this is standard.

You probably want to face solo players against their will, but that's because you suck at the game. Since the days of Dark Souls 3, everyone knows gank spanking has become the most fun and wild type of invasion.

You need to get good. Then your drive will return

Nope, you cant invite solo players unless they willingly use an item to let invaders in despite being solo. (Wich means those are usually the ones who are overconfident, or have the ability to back that up and you dont get in a single hit before they kill you)
Thats why you usually shouldnt fight the people you invade face on, and instead use ambushes, the creatures and retreat if neccesary

I'd rather learn on my own, but I'm not looking to fight multiple people in a fight to do it. If that's standard, than so be it, it's just not for me. I prefer 1v1's.

That guy has such a annoying voice. He sounds like he's moderating a tv show for children and he's just too outspoken and positive. makes me all around uncomfortable to watch.

I personally would rather to fight a mimic tear of myself at random throughout a dungeon. That way if you don't know the full potential of your build - then the AI can show you.

Plus being random means you can't cheese it.

Give us solo players something else than fia's champions or the great jar.

not many use the taunters to 1v1 so you would need to go play DS3 instead

I am a player that use the Tongue to bring Invaders into a fair fight. I have my ring of Blue most of the time, When the backup show up I often stay behind. Then a 4th player can enter the fray which might be another Blue or a Red for a full blow war.

Only after having tons of matches in experience did I tried the other way and alternate between hosting and Invading. A prepared Gank Squad is basically unbeatable. You have no choice to run away, split one and apply a hit-n-run tactic.

Also, I learned a lot from watching youtuber. You have to learn from the pro.

I'd suggest playing a different game that has real PVP. Unless you prefer the easy mode of going up against people trying PVE with PVE gear/specs/skill then sure this is the game for you. But you won't find an actual challenge with invasions in this game.

Welcome to invasions. If you want to have fun with invasions you need to stop thinking about being honorable or being fair and just focus 100% on defeating the host because I promise you that is exactly what they will do unapologetically.

This means setting your stats a certain way and having an inventory with multiple weapons and ashes that are strong for PvP and against multiple players and poise etc. The better you get the more you can compromise and lean outside of meta but the sad truth is that the weapons that are good and fun to use are also the ones that are meta.

If you want to have 1v1 fights just do Arena Duels or summon duelists if you can still find them. You can also taunters tongue at invasion hotspots like First Step in Limgrave or Academy Gate Town in Liurnia but be advised that Liurnia is far more tryhard and toxic. You will also have to fight invaders who have been hardened by the experience of constantly fighting gank squads so gauge your opponent before you expect honor or fair fights.
