Hi! Ihave a Ryzen 7 2700 16 gb Ram and RX 6600. I'm still not getting consistent 60 in the open world area. I wonder if upgrading my CPU to 5700x fix this?

The 5700x definetely has an extremely much higher overall performance, but the single core performance increase is what will benefit Elden Ring.
I think the main issue is your GPU, which is way too cheap for this game and higher fidelity, even at 80p. You won't get an averrage 60 with it, so you should rather spend that money on a better gpu, or lower the settings.

I have a 2070 super, which should be faster in everything, and I don't always have 60 fps. It's just not possible with Elden Ring.

You might not want to upgrade anything, cause your setup is fine for all games at this point. Elden Ring just isn't well made technicly speaking for pc hardware.
Brute forcing more performance, is incredible low value money per fps gained at this point.

Maybe. Zen3 has 40% better IPC over Zen+. However, you're probably also using an older motherboard and slower RAM. Elden Ring is unreasonably CPU- and RAM bandwidth-intensive. Upgrading only your CPU may not be enough without also upgrading your RAM to a kit that runs at 3000MT/s or faster. 3600MT/s is ideal for Zen3 CPUs but will probably require you to upgrade your motherboard as well.

Your GPU is fine. My workstation has a 5950X, 64GB 3600MT/s DDR4, and a Radeon Pro 6600 which is just the "professional" version of your GPU. ER runs at a solid 60fps outside of a few situations with tons of particle effects and that one Walking Mausoleum in the Consecrated Snowfield where the poor level of game optimization really shows. Not a complete dealbreaker hardware-wise since everyone's performance tanks in those situations.

i have an old(6years) oc 4790k 4.7 ghz and an RX 6600,game runs fine(55-60fps) with high settings,the weak spot is the cpu,its a Cpu intensive game,so a new cpu will make the game more smooth,exept some microstutters from dx12 shader complilation and bad optimization in some areas but 95% will be great experience,so it will be a good upgrade for your system.

Oh, dude, you're doing it wrong! Ryzen and such low speed ram? It is DDR4 ram, right?
DDR 4 rams sticks usually are made for oc. You should check your UEFI and enable XMP.
Anything below 3000 mhz is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to slow for Ryzen. Ryzen cpus scale heavily with ram speeds. Get your hands on a 3333-4000 mhz ram and you'll see an up to double digits % performance increase in everything your pc does.

But if you need a new MB, maybe rather Zen4? and the 7800x3d. But that's a lot more expensive for not much better performance, but you might be safer long-term?

changing your cpu will definitely help alot. i just upgrade my beloved i7 3770 (yes it's 11 years CPU) to R5 7600, and realized my 1070 been holded back by i7 3770. Hogwarts Legacy from lowest setting 1080p that sometimes dipping to 40fps to "i can play on ultra 1080p 60-70fps".

I’ve got a 5800, runs like a charm. I’d imagine the 5700 is similar In quality.

Yes this is DDR4 and I bought it 5 years ago because of the RGB LMAO.cI've actually checked some YouTube vid because of your recommendation. Yeah, there is a difference but not too much based on those videos but I know I might need to buy new RAM too. I wanna keep my board as there's a lot of issues online about the new RYZEN 7000. I think I'll buy the 5700x then buy new RAM if it's still not smooth.

I considered the 5800x3d but it's kinda Overkill for my needs also the 5700x uses a lot less power. My Board have 4 slots. Do you think I can just buy 2 New ram with 3200 mhz and use it together with my existing rams?

he got a complete new board, ram and CPU by change from i7 3770 to ryzen 7600.

RAM can only be used at equal frequency, the lowest possible frequency will be forced, beside this it is not recommenced to mix RAM modules in any way, you should use always equal modules

btw you should never buy RAM because it looks nice, you have to check the compatiblity list of your mainboard for RAM modules that will fit and got tested.

Of vcourse you have to be realistic about expectations, but the thing is, low ram speeds, will automatically make your cpu slower. Faster ram stpeed unlocks your cpu's potential without having to oc the cpu. Don't forget, it's not average fps that only counts, the short hickups are more important, and if you have an ssd, the faster ram, will also make your cpu load faster, compile and decompile faster etc. Getting a free boost via Ram XMP, is a no brainer. Without it, you basically forgot to hit the turbo button ;)
