I have tried to find the screen that tells you the game version. Usually it is on the startup menu but I cannot find it.

I see people say they are running version 1.0.1 but how can you tell. Am I just being lame and missing something obvious?

Please let me know.

The current version is version 7. Start and end benchmark to see it. If you can start the game, then you are already using the latest version.

Yeah another bizarre thing among many about this port. What game doesn't let you see a version number? There is literally no place to see what version you are on what an odd thing.

Oh wait, I only see notes for patch 1.01 on the news page. so if they are already on 7.0, there must be something screwy going on... where are all the patch notes for 1.x through and including 7.0?

Anyways, OP, check your downloads page; the recently-completed downloads may include a 1.5mb download for H:ZD, as long as you hadn't clicked the [x] to dismiss the download entry or it hasn't been too long since it was downloaded.

Just check the date modified on the executable in the game directory. If it says 8/14/2020 you're on 1.01. If it says 8/7/2020, you're on 1.0.

It's just a number.

So that s where they Hid it Thanks for the info. Stupid place but guess it is somewhere.

the version of this game is pre alpha

I checked my exe file in D:\games\Steam\steamapps\common\Horizon Zero Dawn which has been modified on ‎7 ‎september ‎2020, ‏‎12:16:59.

In game built-in Benchmark says version 8, i guess this means it is version 1.04. I wish they would be using this version instead of 8 which does not match release notes though.

in the main menu click on Extras - Copywrite

Find the HorizonZeroDawn.exe file and right-click on it. Under Properties, go to the details tab. It tells the File version there.
