Played more than 80 hours into the game. 100%ed it in fact. All with controller enabled. All with no issued
(A PS4 controller, connected via cable, no wireless /bluetooth adaptor)

Buy game for girlfriend for her to play on her Steam account. Controller support doesn't work for her.
Load the same up on my account. I encounter the same issue, So I'm assuming it's a recent patch that's broken it?

Playing fine with a ps4 controller myself, is the steam controller profile for the game loading up with the game?

Yes And the controller works fine with other games. Just not HZD

Odd, not sure what to tell you.. do you use any apps/programs beside steam for your controller? I'm guessing not, and this game is obviously the problem..

Steam itself recently did a patch, that I think I noticed mentioned something about the Playstation controller... something about fixing a "PS controller not working when the XBox Controller Extended Support is activated" issue? Try and see if you can't trigger a Steam client update...

Already using the latest version

I have been having this issue for 5 months now, and it seems no fix yet?

Did you try to enable Steam Input? If it's disabled PS4 Dualshock may not work natively.

Some discoveries:

When I log onto my steam account on another person's computer, game does support controller.

But when I'm on my own computer, Game does not support controller.
It cannot be my steam settings, as the same steam settings on my friend's computer allow me to play with controller.

I have validated and done fresh installs multiple times, so it's not a file integrity issue.
I have previously played for more than 60 hours. All with controller. So it WAS working before.

It has been more than a month since I emailed Guerilla. Still no reply, or even receipt of Email.

Please read my post. I've played for more than 60+ hours with controller. I haven't disabled anything or played with any settings. The new update has done something

Did you double check or because you "haven't disabled anything" you are just saying that something's changed without checking?

If you haven't disabled anything doesn't mean it wasn't disabled. Just double-check.

I have no problem with controller (Xbox) on latest patch (haven't had problems in past patches either).

This is the same for me no issues to report on either xbox or ps controllers

Nothing's disabled. or been disabled - From what I can see. Would love to hear WHERE to check and look..

Steam detects the controller, and loads the configuration. But nothing on the games' end recognises the controller.

Sorry Diewasted, I have yet to find a fix and have been offered no solutions or steps by the community. And despite having reached out to the dev team via email almost a month ago, I haven't received any correspondence from them either
