I sold all houses (except my office, which it doesn't offer option to sell) and it totaled 38 houses. I saw threads describing selling 50 houses in order to buy again. Where are the remaining houses to sell? Is this feature only available with certain DLC? I have the base game + HGTV DLC.

You have to move your office to another location in able to sell the house that is currently your office. If you haven't sold that one, then it will not count as selling all the houses. As you know, with each job that you finish, you have the ability to buy that house one time to flip it and sell it. Once you've sold each of them once (including the house where your office is now), then all of the houses in the base game should be available to purchase as often as you'd like. The same applies to each dlc.

So, I'm stuck because I can't buy any more houses and I haven't sold the one that is currently my office--and it won't let me sell it because I don't have any others to move to...?

You don't need to sell your first office for the achievement, but I don't know how to fix the problem. Ask the people in the HF discord, they'll know.

Are you sure that you've completed all of the jobs for the base game (found in emails) and for the HGTV dlc (found under the map section)? If you have done all of them, you may need to contact the Devs via Discord as Gui suggested. (As for moving your office, you could try redoing a job, although I'm not sure if it would allow you to move your office to that house since it is a job. I'm also not sure if redoing a job would give you the option to purchase the house again.)

Wait, so if I want the achievement and to complete the game, I'm not supposed to move my office but stay in that little shed until I've sold all the other houses?

That's what it sounds like to me... I'm currently trying to finish the jobs to see if that changes anything. I also have not completed the houses in the maps section. But everything I read in previous questions about this said to just sell all the houses and they will unlock. Unfortunately that was not my experience.

It's been awhile since I did this, but I believe that you need to move your office and sell the one that you start off with as your office. You will be able to purchase that little shack again if you want to move your office back to that spot. However, since that shack can be sold and you're not able to repurchase houses yet because they are still locked, it seems to me that you need to sell that original house as part of the requirement to sell all of the houses one time which unlocks the option to purchase them as often and as many as you'd like.

I would try redoing one of the jobs. When you get to the house to redo the job, try to move your office there. Since it is a job, I'm not sure if it will let you move the office there or not, but it is worth a try. I'd also take a closer look at the HGTV jobs to make sure that you didn't miss a job on the map.

Guys, you need to sell all houses EXCEPT your actual office (so if you stayed in the first office, you DON'T NEED TO SELL IT for the achievement).
But you need to complete all jobs (from main game + from the DLC(s) you own) to be able to buy and sell all the corresponding houses.

What I'm hearing is that I need to also complete the email jobs and the map jobs before I can repurchase anything.

Yep. Doing those jobs is what unlocks houses. When you finish a job, then you will be able to purchase the house that was in the job. You can purchase it one time to flip and sell. You will not be able to buy it a second time until you have completed all of the jobs and sold every house that became available after completing those jobs once. After you have done all of that, you should be able to purchase any house as many times as you would like.

Ok finished all of the email jobs. Now i'm knocking out the HGTV map jobs. Will let you all know if it works in the end :)
