February 4, 2022 @ 4:59:42 am PSTFrom our point of view, we're trying to keep the balance between realism and accessibility. We don't want to make this game too complicated to learn and have fun with, as we understand that a huge chunk of our community looks for some chill and peace of mind while playing. If you're looking for something that gives you a pure realistic approach, I would first check out some gameplay on youtube before deciding to purchase!
Anyway, cheers, and have a great day!

Here's the first episode of my favourite playthrough. It includes the Garden DLC as well, but the DLC orders are clearly marked in green in the game, so you can fast forward through those if you don't need to watch them:

There is some installation things, sure, Some installations are "too accurate" and therefore requiring work a bit more than I would like to have. but that's minor.
How ever you don't have to think how the pipes or electricity goes. some houses have fusebox, but you can delete it.
Where it the watermain? Only 1 house has it, and that is only on one mission, and after that you never see one, and you can never install one.
Where the pipes to toilets, sinks and showers go? They just don't go, or more likely they are in every wall.
Waterheater, and radiators? don't need.
Fireplaces are electric, So you don't need an actual chimney, But you do get some firewood next to said fireplace.
And theoreticly in some houses you can have massive room downstaires, and load up notable weight on upstairs, Which leaves me questioning structural integrity of said floor/ceiling.
How ever, Nothing is stopping you from thinking about these things, and planning the houses more realistically.

February 4, 2022 @ 12:04:39 pm PSTI'm not at your level but I have renovated houses irl and this game doesn't hold true to physics. For instance you can remove all the interior walls on the ground floor in a two storey house and the upper floor will not collapse!
However, this is a fun, addictive game & a good way to wind down and de-stress after a hard day's work. Personally I enjoy cleaning up the houses the most, it's quite satisfying.
