Less profit on flipping houses the more I progress in the game.

When I started the game I was making a good profit on flipping houses. In excess of one hundred grand. Now that I have progressed to luxtury houses I am making a loss. Only making a measly profit through negotiations. What is going on? Is this the way the game goes? Should I just clean the house and sell it, not bother with renovations and expensive furniture?

I think I've noticed this too.
Just completed a luxury apartment, made it fit for a king. I thought I'd be looking at least 100 up to 400k profit but only got 50k and that was after negotiating!
I think the issue is when we buy bigger props we tend to create larger rooms meaning fewer rooms and less profit. I think to fix it I will try adding at least 2 or even 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms, cinema room, sauna etc. Not sure if game counts as bonus if a bathroom is en-suite.

I think you make a good point. I'm always knocking down walls. I'll give that a try, more rooms. I think I spend too much on furniture. I'm going to try buying the cheapest crap and see how that goes. If you find out anything else, let me know and thanks for replying, much appreciated:steamhappy:
