lowkey boring replay-ability?

So I know for a fact I cannot be the only one that feels this way. Growing up I played all of the original lego starwars games and the absolute most captivating thing about those games that made them shine in my opinion was the awesome replay-ability with regards to the story line, experiencing the same thing even if you are in freeplay. I think I speak for most of the player base when I say this game is AWESOME! and I think I also speak for much of the community when I say, I want to be able to play the whole storyline all together even in freeplay. This storyline is the most captivating I have personally seen in any lego game ever and its a shame that by the time you get to play with all the cool stuff you get towards the end its already over and all your left with is bits and pieces of the storyline with the core gameplay and thats it. If I wanted to experience that same feeling again I am forced to start a new save and this simply should not be. I hope you guys feel me cause im really feeling this game and want to see it truly shine!

I think the problem with that kind of replayability is that the original games were made up of levels and this one is more worlds/environments and a level here and there. I think that if they stuck to the more classical design of dividing the game into levels would have helpen with the replayability. I do like the planets, etc. to explore though. The problem is that making all of this into more levels, as they used to, would have been quite a bit more work.

to be fair look at games like borderlands. you get to play all the same storyline over again in true vaulthunter mode. its not that hard to do. bl3 even has other planets. im just saying it wouldnt be hard to do and you know that would absolutely add to the charm of this game. p.s in borderlands you can choose whether or not you want to do the story line over again but you get to keep all your gear and just keep leveling up. almost exactly what i would love to be able to do here.
