Xbox controller issue (fixed?)

I have a generic 360 controller which works fine with every other Steam game, but has weird glitches and disconnects when playing LSW:SS. I’ve tried replacing the batteries and verifying the game files and neither has worked. My other controller seems to work okay, but I need a 2nd for co-op. I’m not sure whether to buy another controller if this is a known bug or whether there’s a fix. Anyone else had this issue and found a solution ?

I don't know if this fix will help you, but it's helped people with mouse issues. Try the file edit to force the game to match your monitors refresh rate.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what the issue could be.

Sounds like a controller specific issue to me. I play with a XBOX Pro Controller and have had zero problems with it staying connected while playing this game.

My refresh rate is 60, so I don't think that is the issue. Also, my other controller started having some similar issues as well where the controls would go haywire and start moving the characters without me even touching the stick. I reached out to WB Games support, but they only said they would pass it along to the developers.

I think I may have solved it. I turned the Steam Input Mapper to “Forced Off” and that seems to have worked. I wasn’t able to test for long because I had to go to work, but there was a spot where the controller would always go haywire that didn’t after I changed that setting.
