Many people have asked this question a lot so I thought to maybe give a helping hand I suppose.

LEGO STAR WARS: The Skywalker Saga is a COMPLETELY new game. It is ran on a new engine and has many new features. They also have added a load of new characters and character varients.

The Levels have now being stripped down to 5 levels instead of 6.

The open-world is also massive. In the complete saga, only the cantina was the open-world hub, but Skywalker Saga, literally all planets is free-roam explorable.

The game has some features from predecessor games I suppose but yeah, this game is completely new.

I hope for thoses that keep asking about the difference and that now understand more.

They should put out a playable PC gameplay download of the first level for those that don't have the money to purchase the game

This is a great idea, however over the last few years, Demos really lacked for games to be really honest.
