Can I disable these "tip" pop-ups?

Yes, I know I can take cover to regain health, but I can also shoot the last guy trying to kill me and just wait for my health to recover that way. The pop-up is distracting, as are all the other "tips" I already know by heart.

it is possible. Pres escape > options > gameplay > there will be a "enable tutorials" option, make sure that's unchecked. The pop-ups shouldn't occur again.

That option isn't there in ME2, unfortunately.

You didn't say that it was ME2. I would've approached it from a different angle. Not sure if you're keen on modding, but it can be done in ME2 as well with a little bit of modding.

In case you wanna give it a shot:
Here's a link for the mod: (choose the recommended file, unless you wanna get rid of the minigames like hacking as well):
https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/333?tab=files

Instructions can be found on the page under the description tab.

Yeah, I keep forgetting this is three games packaged into one product. That's my bad.

Thank you, I'll check it out.

Worked perfectly. Do you know of any mods that make the enemies stop focusing on Shepard and actually engage the other teammates? Some fights I can just sit behind cover and grab a sandwich while my teammates pick the enemies off one by one.

Not really. There isn't one to my knowledge. But it is possible if you screw with BIOGame.ini. Otherwise You'd have to either pause the game while you're doing your stuff or quickly take out the enemies that have the chance of getting close like Pyros, YMIR mechs, Vanguards etc. Engineers stay in cover but they sometimes send a drone out that can make your life hard. The standard gun enemies don't really come close. they just shoot from cover (though it happened to me multiple times that an enemy with a gun came close, but they usually stay in cover). Plus if you have an enemy locked you can press E/Q (depends which squadmate you want to focus on that particular enemy) and if you do so, your teammate/s deal more damage to the locked enemy.
I know 2 mods that might help your problem: a combat overhaul. Enemy AI behaves more naturally, enemies aren't pin point accurate any more etc. And a cooldown mod which allows you and your squad to use your powers more frequently, like in ME1, all powers can be used individually so no more global cooldown.
Like I've said, some tweaks can be done within the game files as well, like completely removing the cooldown time for you and your team's powers, but that would take away all the fun the game has to offer. Or removing any enemy engagement from Shepard so basically no enemies will shoot at you. Though I'm not sure anyone would want that. Messing with BIOGame.ini is an option too ig.

What does "Enemy AI behaves more naturally" mean, though? I saw the first mod, but unless it explicitly makes enemy targeting fair (meaning it doesn't discriminate against the player character), it's not what I'm looking for. I literally just want the enemies to not have an anti-player bias.

Enemy Al is no longer unnaturally pin-point accurate (aka aim bot). That’s what it means. But it’s just an overhaul, don’t expect that the game will be any easier. Vanguard enemies are way too accurate with their shotgun, they can literally hit you way across the room. With a shotgun that’s supposed to be for close combat.
Though imo the vanilla accuracy is fine, but yeah it’s a bit OP.

My problem isn't their accuracy nor combat difficulty. My problem is the thing I said: the fact that enemies target Shepard to the exclusion of almost everything - and everyone - else.

Unless I send my "henchmen", as the game calls them, into utterly stupid and unsafe positions, or if advancing enemies happen to walk past a henchman (so their cover no longer protects them), enemies will focus on Shepard if they have line of sight. As I said, in some fights I can literally just sit behind cover and do nothing while my henchmen pick the enemies off one by one.

Yeah I get it, but it’s just how the combat/AI is in this game. I’ve already said there’s no mod for this.

Sorry, I'm just too used to people trying to "read between the lines" and answering questions they imagined I said or trying to solve problems they imagined I have instead of the things I did actually say and the problems I actually have.

I suppose I'll just trudge through it. Thanks.
