It doesnt matter what Angels says, people can say anything they want.

ALL that matters is what the court says.

Not even what a US court says matter much. Angela is a chinese company and they can just laugh off any judgement made under US law. Tencents servers are in china so those are untouchable as well. Steam obviously can't sell the game if copyright claims go through.

So what does your knowledge of this situation say/do for the game in your opinion ?

If they can't sell it on Steam, they sell it elsewhere, probably on their own website. Their main interest is in China anyway, I doubt they care much for western players other than they are of course happy to take our money.

Well worst case is still ok for us, they keep developing the game so thats a win in my book

what update do you expect? The case court s at the 31st of january. What do you expect them to inform you about anything then that? With new evidence they gathered to leak to us so that snail games get them too for free and can make a plan for a legal attack/defense?

there were still updates almost every day and now there is nothing

So from what I gather off a little research-
• Angela stands accused of stealing code
• Angela does not wish for a professional and impartial thirdparty to confirm whether or not the code is stolen
• Angela's current defense is to claim irrelevance and insist innocence
• Wildcard intends to take them to court despite the above

Now I'm no lawyer and I also don't care about some good 'ol Chinese racism towards westerners that aren't singing praises of Chinese whatever-have-you because that's pretty shallow and makes me laugh, but it seems like if you're unwilling to participate in some easy transparency and professional testimony you DID NOT steal the code, it should be case open and closed the moment the code is inspected. So why aren't they allowing it?

I don't think you understand how Steam listings work. Steamchina is a thing, you can observe their library vs the wider world's library at large. Other games that have been found to be using stolen assets have been pulled and if this one is built upon stolen code I highly doubt it'll be an exception to the standard.

You sure don't seem like you have a clearly indicated bias of any sort, and seem like a sane and rational individual judging the situation as it develops with a clear mind and perspective that lets you provide accurate news about the situation.
