Does anyone know if it is possible to use Minion to get add ons for New World? I saw a video where a guy was talking about fishing, he was using some kind of over lay that was giving him real time information on where hot spots where. So some add ons have been developed I just don't know if they have been consolidated.

Minion is for WoW and ESO. I don't think add-ons are officially supported in New World at this time.

I know a ton of people used them in ESO myself included but I am not sure they where ever officially supported. So maybe something similar will come along, as I said I know there is at least one add on used as I have seen video of it.

I did not mean Minion, I meant addons in general. WoW and ESO officially support addons and have addon directories for them.

I do not know if New World officially supports addons, though. If they don't, it would be risky to use them until they clarify the situation.

Considering you can modify certain parameters of all those add-ons within ESO, it would seem that Bethesda are ok with them.

HAve used Minion for years in ESO and never an issue.

I have seen NOTHING to support the idea that AGS support 3rd-party add-ons at this time.

As have I. Both for ESO and WoW. But we are talking about NW here. Minion does not support NW, and I doubt if addons are even officially approved by Amazon for NW.

That is to bad the add ons in ESO through minion really helped with understanding what was going on. Since anyone could download and use them not really giving any advantage too any one individual.

Looks like a website and not a addon.

Nothing in the TOS as far as I am aware to stop you using a website for information, as long as it does not affect the NW client in any way.

Having a window up with a map of NW, or list if whatevers. Is fine.
Having a second computer with a map of NW, or a list of whatever. Is fine.

Having an overlay that sits on top of NW while you are playing is not fine.

If you really want that, play NW in a window and have the other data off to the side. Or have a second computer with the information.

But, if you use external software to put an overlay up with NW data? Your risk.

Your right I looked into it further and that is exactly what it is, so I guess if you want to use another device or have multiple screens it at least give the information for locating things. When I first watched the video it seemed like it was an over lay he was using of the in game map.
