So I feel like the the crusifix used to be more useful in earlier versions of the game. Ever since they have been updating the hunting and ghost spawning they seem less useful as its hard to predict where the ghost will spawn even once you know the room.

My suggested solution is either increase the radius of the crusifix or change it so its per room instead of a radius.

I mean I think the ghost changing rooms is not an issue as that seems to be as designed. But there are a lot of ghost rooms that are too big for a crusifix to reliably stop the hunt.

in older version of the game the ghost always spawned in the same spot in the room so you could figure out the ghost spawning spot and place the crucifix accordingly. But that is no longer the case. So outside of the smallest of rooms the crucifix no longer works reliably.

It just seems more like playing a slot machine these days. But yeah I guess if you only played on the smaller maps like tanglwood street it wouldn't be much of an issue. But either of the farmhouses or any of the large maps it is frequently.

Screw the range. I want to know what ghost hunter would only bring two crucifix on a hunt? Haha. If anything I'd rather upping the amount you can bring in the truck before I would care about the range being upped.

I think the major thing that needs to change is your personal perception of how to use the crucifix. Stop trying to use it to prevent hunts in a room, and start using them to secure yourself a safe path of retreat- Space you KNOW the ghost won't be in.

I use them most often just outside the ghosts 'main' room, and the second adjacent to that one in the direction of safety, so I know for sure the avenue to safety isn't going to have a ghost in it- And that IF the ghost starts hunting from the other side of that avenue of safety, that I have time to realize where it is and re-adjust my plan of surviving the hunt, as opposed to it appearing right beside me.

Doing this, you're bound to get the crucifix prevented a hunt objective sooner than later, due to roaming; And if the ghost does hunt, you know the places it will and wont. When you try to block up it's room, then it can start a hunt from anywhere BUT it's room- And that means you're trapped in a terrible place 99/100.

They have a huge range already. You can literally cover like half of tanglewood with two crosses.

I think they could increase the range on the bigger maps with big rooms, just for the sake of completing those secondary objectives. Preventing a ghost from hunting with a crucifix in high school gym is just not gonna happen. So I'd say on some maps in certain rooms they can increase the radius imo

If you put two crosses at max range from each other, that is 40 feet across.

I mean Tanglewood is super small I might buy that one...but its by far the smallest map... and no 3 meters is not huge at all.

I mean not even the gym the bedrooms in the farmhouse it doesn't even cover half. On a map like high school it probably covers 20% or less of most rooms.

Objectives aside it's more or less useless as a tool if it can't be counted on to prevent the hunt.

Good thing it always prevents hunts, then - as long as it's placed in the correct spot.

The point is there is no correct spot anymore now that the ghost wanders in it's room, and the hunt can start from any point in the ghost room. Since a large percentage of potential ghost rooms are much larger than the crucifixes radius.

It makes it more akin to playing a slot machine than than using a reliable tool. I makes the outcome too arbitrary to be genuinely useful.

Again unless you only play only small maps like tanglwood street. But once you get to farmhouse it really depends on what room as to whether it might be useful and on the big 4 its is basically always useless.
