Thank you so much, this will help me a lot, maggots ruined my gameplay when lots of corpses lying and decaying around, when hundreds to thousand(s) of maggots spawn, the area becomes slow and laggy even with my RTX 3060 and 16gb RAM. Again, thank you devs.

is the "randomize" under zombie options general or specific to each zombie? as in, does the game choose a random option and each zombie is affected, or is each zombie seperately randomized?

Its okay, give it some time to settle.

This might be last stable build for long time (pending any unforeseen bugs, now the test waters are ocean size)

These are the last days of build 41 betas and updates. Modders will catch up.

I'm not gonna feel that dirty playing burglar with every survivor xD. Although my Vanilla save has almost every car in Rosewood hotwired already :steammocking:

This: ... each zombie is seperately randomized...

Each zombie will have its own random sight, hearing and memory.

This should really impact on gameplay now that i'm thinking about it. Those "precise hearing" zombies will be drawn to you, while deaf ones will stay in the zone you maybe wanted to clear out... As opposite to previous rigid and predictable zombie behaviour... Runs will be more randomized xD

Hope you are well!
Not sure was the question raised before, but I am sure I am not the one who interested in zoning for multiplayer.
I see the option to set NON PVP zone, but it is not working as I'd expecting. I want to make 1-2 towns as PVP zone only, where as the rest of the map PVE. I can't achieve it anyhow currently. Or if there is anyone, who could point me to the right location, would be highly appreciated. Except 1 topic on redit with decimal text changes - I can't find this text, I'd assume it is not relevant with current versions of Zomboid.
Huge thanks in advance! I am sure it will give so much fun for the game-play on dedicated servers.

Well yeah, animals are NPCs after all... :steammocking: might be a lot there for modders though.
