I cannot attach vehicles to tow them in my current game. I checked all my mods and none of them says this is an issue.

Press 'V' when between the two vehicles. Going of off raw memory.

None of them saying this is not an issue does not mean much sadly:S
But it does help you did your homework and at least checked your mods that one of them has it as a known issue!

Sadly having multiple mods might cause different kinds of unusual behaviour. Both individually as per mod, and in groups. So it is possible that say from your (let us say) 20 used mods none are listed as causing an issue with towing, however the 6th 12th and 13th cause an unusual behaviour which prohibits you from towing:(

The only way to know which mod or mods cause it is to...disable them all and check one by one. If you are lucky then eventually after enabling a certain amount you might encounter the issue...if not you will need to try this with the variations of mods:(

I know how to tow vehicles. I hit "V" and then the +. My character acts like it is doing something but the trailer is not attached.

Try with no mods. If that works, try with likely problem mods disabled.

Stragely, I added "Better Towing" and now when I try to hook up it adds a rope off the back of my vehicle.

Unfortunately, I do not enjoy video games enough to go through and try to figure out which mod is causing this.
