Frustrating
Not sure if just me but started on Yuito playthrough and i'm constantly doing battles that you aren't suppose to win. Which is fine but there doing it way to much. been 3 times already and getting really sick of it tbh.
First was with Kasane then the General then gotta fight Kasane again but wait! I can transform now! which sill does absolutely nothing to Kasane. Does Kasane just destroy Yuito on her playthrough as well?
Either way gets frustrating constantly being in so many battles your not suppose to win. Since never know if just meant to be a really hard battle.
Is this going to keep going on? should I just play Kasane and say the hell with Yuito? cuz I really can't take it anymore.

Photon Shield replied to Frustrating March 24, 2023 @ 7:28:27 pm PDTJust a little bit of heads-up, most battle against human will be inconclusive (neither win nor lose, but arguably more on the losing side), so there might be more frustrating battle for you. Although, there are battles where the protagonist wins: Yuito's vendetta battle (no kill win) and Kasane's "prison escape" battle (no kill win).
Edit: oh and also the Final boss battle (still no kill win)

Don't think anyone enjoys losing more the opposite I would imagine. So think it's kind of stupid to keep being put into a losing situation. After the second fight with Kasane and dying 2 times times in my transform state was literally raging skipping all dialogue afterwords. When was actual into the story but that really pissed me off. Not only the dying aspect but the idea i'm hitting her with everything multiple times. Barely depleted any of her health. While she just devastates my health with every blow. I'm not sure where have they gathered that idea, but it looks like their playerbases and passionate customers do actually like the idea.. As it makes it difficult and they do enjoy that bit of a challenge, even though it's a nonsense.
It gets worse if the developers won't implement a difficulty feature to allow casual players to lower the difficulty, but because that does mean more work for them, most JRPG videogames do seem to be missing such a feauture..
So, yeah.. At that point, what you prioritize isn't dealing damage, but evading and nothing else.
If you do deal a bit of damage - That's fine, but do prioritize evading over dealing as much damage as you can.
