I have made the cool gun that was there, like a kiddish and exited child. Then I was immediately disappointed when I couldn't use it.

I take it that its a turret weapon, but that raises a question on why I can put it on my primary weapon slot. Can anyone explain this, was it intended only as a turret weapon, or is it my bad luck?

Yes. It was intended only as a turret weapon but I'll assume they'll add a regular-not-autocannon version since the Bren is a famously used machine gun during ww2
