I'm talking specifically about guys using a "feminine" avatar, or ladies using a "masculine" avatar.

I'd love to use feminine avatars in VRChat but I'm reluctant to do so because I don't have the voice to match with them. So I end up using masculine or androgynous avatars such as the grey alien.

my avatar is a brick and matches my voice perfectly.

there are many reasons on why people use specific types of characters different to their gender.
they like the character and want to show their love for it.
they role play as the character.
they identify with it personally.
they like to look at it in the mirror.
whatever the reason may be, most people dont care. if you run in to someone who seems to be bothered by it, the block funktion is your friend.

Dudes love female avatars with male voices tho.

There are so many genders in VRChat.

Ordinary people use the same avatar as their gender, but they also use their favorite character avatar or use the avatar of the opposite sex for sexual satisfaction.

"who cares" ? no, really, wear what you want, any one gives ya a hard time bout the voice just turn to um, select them, and hit the magic "never see them again" button, problem solved

it does look pretty weird ingame at first indeed, nobody should lie to you. But that doesnt mean its bad, in the end its just an avatar, and you are not you avatar, you are a person in front of a screen. And that's what matters.

Use whatever you want to use!
