Hi all, just a heads up that we spotted an issue with Steam Deck and the Demo where save files from the demo are not found by the full game when you upgrade/get the full game.

On a regular PC, save files for both the demo and full game are stored in the same location on your hard drive, so they can be shared between both the demo and the full game. without requiring the user (you!) to do anything. Which is great but.. on Steam Deck save files are moved by the Steam Deck into a folder specific to the App ID of the game being played (which is different between the demo and the full game)

So if you need to locate your demo save files on steam deck they will be located here (thanks to tilghman1992 for the heads up on this!)

/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2063780/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Nova/Saved/SaveGames/

If you get the full game on steam deck and want to retrieve your save files from the demo on your steam deck, you just need to copy the content of the demo folder above (SaveGames) into the same path but for the app ID of the full game: (aka 1097350 instead of 2063780)

/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1097350/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Nova/Saved/SaveGames/

Sorry for this inconvenience, the Steam Deck has a life of its own :)

Please note that if you are playing on a regular PC, you won't have to do any of this, and your demo save files will automatically appear when launching the full game - the aboves is only for Steam Deck users.
