Is there EVER gonna be an npc update?

Last update was in November or December. So, 5-6 months, not a year.

Remember. Animal npcs are part of b42 and will be ready when they’re ready. Humanoid npcs are for build 43, not the next build.

This question, in some form, gets asked at least one a week regardless of the amount of info out about it already. A pinned post is just as easy to find as the search bar, people would rather post Enigma has noted above me.

Never ceases to amaze me at how much people gripe over this when there is already a lot of solid gameplay and entertainment. Props to you for putting up with it for so long lol.

I've been playing this game for years... I'm not sure you want to know JUST HOW LONG the 'When are the NPCs coming?' conversation has actually been going on... haha.

Waiting a year is nothing. Be patient, they'll come when they're ready.

I waiting NPC more than 10years now, i can wait a little bit more zZzzzZzzz

I suspect the only way to stop is to no longer communicate what and whether you are still working on. Otherwise at least someone out there will get excited, imagine what it will be, then get mad it's not out yet. Furthermore, when it IS out, there will be complaints that it's not as good as someone imagined it will be. I mean, NPCs in Skyrim were fully voiced and animated like 15 years ago, and you've had over a decade to work on yours, so why urs suk? :) /S

I'm a really bad person, but I have to speak.
Threads like this, where the random guy (they're 99% males, did you notice?) complains about NPCs and the threads where another random guy (again, males most of the time) complains about 13+ years in EA are my bread & butter after a long and busy week.

Tragically, I've to admit that I'm waiting for those threads just as I would wait for the next episode of one of my fav TV series.

Geez, they're somewhat like the glorious Thursdoid!

If there isn't any random guy posting at least one of those in a weekly fashion, I believe I could cry.

Remember what maybe solid gameplay to you does not mean it will be the same for others, for example i can say right now that the game is really boring without mods. I agree that the constant spam of the npc topic is annoying but it should also let you know that not every finds this a very solid gameplay and entertainment

David the Gnome is in the game. So yeah, NPCs are already here. You just need to loot David and place him in your base. He's full of sage advice... *twitch* *twitch*
