The third game in the series, as featured in this week’s Games to Watch section, was especially memorable. MVP.Miracle’s former StarCraft Zerg pros, CrazyMoving and Sniper, played Raynor and Tychus against Tempo Storm’s protect-the-Greymane composition. Tempo Storm, who looked confident at the conclusion of the draft, quickly learned why double-Warrior, double-Assassin compositions are becoming so popular on Infernal Shrines in particular.

Europe’s Next Stop: gamescom

Mere days after Europe’s Qualifier 2 for Fall Regional 2, at which both To Be Determined and Too far bjutifl booked their tickets to gamescom, Qualifier 3 got underway. Going in, all eyes were on the teams expected to secure the last two spots: ePunks and Team Liquid.

ePunks plowed through their competition in the upper bracket, securing convincing wins against both Just a Moment and Outlaws Hots. The team’s performances at Regional 1 were ultimately disappointing, but if they play to their full potential they’re certainly capable of making waves at Regional 2.

The competition was much fiercer in the lower bracket, where GoogleIshetZont came out looking surprisingly strong. Avenging their humbling 2-0 defeat at the hands of Team Liquid during Qualifier 1, the fan favorites looked much-improved as they turned the tables and took a well-deserved 2-0 victory.

Beyond the Nexus: Preparing for the Fall Championship

Copa América Finds its Final Four Teams

After a busy week of Decisive Bracket games, we now know which four teams will be heading to the Copa América Finals to compete for the region’s spot at BlizzCon.

In the North subregion, Infamous Gaming White qualified after they emerged 2-1 victors from a closely-contested final set against LichT.Cinco de Mayo. In the final game, a late game Dragon Knight proved to be the deciding factor despite LichT.Cinco de Mayo’s efforts to split-push with Zagara.

Teams in the Brazil subregion were afforded some breathing room during this Decisive Bracket as a result of there being two Regional Finals spots available to them. The competition for those spots wasn’t any less fierce as a result though, as former Regional Champions Big Gods stepped up in a huge way and swept through the bracket. INTZ E-Sports Club emerged as the strongest of the other three teams and will no doubt be looking to avenge the defeat that they suffered at the hands of Big Gods should they meet at the upcoming Regional Finals.

Exhibiting great ingenuity, creativity, and confidence along the way, Kaos Latin Gamers Movistar secured the South Region spot. Their most noteworthy performance during the Decisive Bracket features in the Games to Watch section above.
