DreamHack Valencia is drawing ever closer, and European teams are ready to hit the ground running! Following the past week’s Regional Qualifiers, six qualifying teams have booked their tickets to Spain where, alongside invitees mYinsanity and Team Dignitas, they’ll be competing to secure the first spot at the Fall Global Championship.

Outside of Europe, North America’s schedule for the Fall season has now been announced. There will be an extra week of breathing room for North American players, who have the July 4 weekend off to celebrate, but they won’t be resting for long. With plenty of balance patches and changes as well as new Heroes entering the Nexus, this season is guaranteed to be filled with surprises from all regions.

Evil Murkies	vs.	Quadratisch Praktisch Feed		Newcomers to the scene QPF showed up to face the Evil Murkies in the Finals of Qualifier #1. After watching this set, nobody should be left in any doubt that we’re in for an exciting Fall season!
Fnatic	vs.	CrowingChickens		This best-of-three series between Fnatic and CC went the distance as they vied for the first spot at DreamHack Valencia. The result was ultimately decided on Infernal Shrines.

European Teams Secure Their Place at DreamHack Valencia

This past week has seen a gauntlet of gameplay for teams across Europe. Absent Team Dignitas and mYinsanity, who received invitations to the event as a result of their performances at the Summer Global Championship, top teams from across the continent fought over the remaining six slots available to compete at DreamHack Valencia. On June 25, 26, and 29, six teams were able to fight to the top of the tower, claim victory, and secure their places at Europe’s Regional 1. Congratulations to the qualifying teams:

Meta Madness!

Tune into Khaldor’s YouTube channel on Sunday to watch four teams from Europe competing in the popular caster’s second Meta Madness tournament. The competition, named for its unusual format, differs from regular competitive play in that banned Heroes are relegated to the sidelines not only for the game that’s being drafted, but for the entirety of the series. Unusual team compositions are inevitable, and a lot of fun to watch!
