You need the DLC content to play because it isn't limited to DLC maps. People can transfer Rock Drakes and Magmasaurs over to the Island, and if you don't have the content for that you won't be able t..

What Kota said, You can also Whistle Follow All to have all Tamed Dinosaurs in the area follow that dino. It's pretty interesting making Conga Lines of Rexxes.

Get on the one you want the others to follow, then whistle follow, they will follow the creature you are mounted on.

Steam just isn't good with continuous patching. If it gets really bad like that, you should uninstall and reinstall the game.I just did that (surprisingly kept my single player save) and the base file..

I sit just below 100gb with Aberration and SE, if you round out SE is 10-12gb, AB is roughly 20gb, Ragnarok roughly 20gb, Center roughly 10-12gb. Base game is roughly 63gb.

The Map packs are very large in file size due lack of commpession in Unreal, especially the Ragnarok being the biggest of them all. My ARK file size is 138 GB as of this post.
